Storms in the past several days have brought over 40 inches of new snow to Utah's Salt Lake area ski resorts, making for excellent spring skiing conditions with sunny skies and mild temperatures. Some resorts have extended their closing dates for the season - for example Park City Mountain Resort has added an extra week and will now close April 18. Snowbird, always the last holdout, will close Memorial Day weekend.
Here are the closing dates for SLC area ski resorts for 2010:
Alta: April 18 but reopening April 23, 24 and 25 with $49 lift tickets
Brighton: April 18
The Canyons: April 11
Deer Valley: April 11
Park City Mountain Resort: April 18
Snowbird: Memorial Day Weekend
Solitude: April 18 - $39 lift tickets for the rest of the season!
