Eclipse at Midnight in Salt Lake City

By June 29, 2010

Follow me on:

Get a nap today, ladies (and maybe a few gentlemen), because Eclipse, the third movie based on the popular Twilight series of vampire novels by BYU's own Stephanie Meyer, premieres tonight at midnight.

Twi-hards can attend midnight showings at nearly every movie theater in the Salt Lake area. At Megaplex Theaters locations at Jordan Commons in Sandy, Thanksgiving Point in Lehi and The Junction in Ogden, fans can attend pre-show "Twi-fest" parties that include red carpet photos, dancing, costume contests, souvenirs, food, drink and entertainment. Twi-fest begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25, not including admission to the movie. Twi-fest continues throughout the day on Wednesday, June 30.

Another pre-show party will be held at the Cinemark Theaters at Jordan Landing in West Jordan. "Eclipse Party on the Plaza" goes from 4 p.m. to midnight and include music and dance entertainment, manicures, hair glimmer strands, photos, souvenirs, games and a "glitter booth" so you can sparkle in the sun. Plaza entertainment is free from 4-10 p.m., and all-inclusive tickets to the event and movie are $25. Tickets for men are $18.

(1) Plaza Hotel says:

I love midnight showings but, Eclipse, seriously? I don’t understand why this series has gotten to be so popular.
