If you're a fan of the Food Network TV show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," you know that the show's enthusiastic host Guy Fieri travels the country looking for the best in classic American diner cuisine. You may not know that the show has featured several of the Salt Lake area's favorite restaurants, including the Blue Plate Diner, the Burger Bar, Lone Star Taqueria, Moochie's, Pat's Barbecue, the Red Iguana and Ruth's Diner.
I don't know what makes watching Guy stuff his face with yummy diner food so entertaining, but the show is a lot of fun. The restaurants Guy visits are places that appeal to the masses yet still manage to serve tasty, high quality food prepared with care and creativity. After watching the video clips from Guy's visit to Utah, I'm feeling the urge to reacquaint myself with just about all of these popular Utah restaurants.
