Looks like another chilly, wet spring weekend in the SLC, but don't let that spoil your fun. Bundle up and enjoy one of these great Salt Lake City weekend events:
- The popular Food Network program "The Great Food Truck Race," currently filming its second season, will roll into Salt Lake City to film an episode Saturday and Sunday, April 30-May1. Competing food trucks will partner with local favorites Chow Truck and Tortatruck to see who can sell the most food in SLC this weekend. The locations of the trucks will be kept secret until they arrive, so follow Chowtruck or Tortatruck on Facebook or Twitter to find out where they will be.
- The AMA Supercross motocross series makes a stop at Rice-Eccles Stadium Saturday, April 30. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for practice and qualifying; main event starts at 7 p.m. Tickets $10-$40, $5 extra day of show.
- The Broadway touring production of Young Frankenstein will be "Puttin' on the Ritz" at the Capitol Theatre this weekend, now through Sunday, May 1. Tickets are $40-$67.50.
- Another stage adaptation of a Hollywood classic, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard, opens Friday, April 29 at Pioneer Memorial Theatre and continues through May 14. Tickets $34-$54.
