Veterans Day is Friday, 11/11/11, and our nation's service men and women will be honored at several special events throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Salt Lake County will be dedicating a new 9/11 memorial on Thursday the 10th, while the University of Utah and the city of Taylorsville will hold commemorative events on Friday. There are also plenty of opportunities for veterans to receive meals and other services free or at a discount.
