With kids out of school and parents off work, President's Day is a great time to have some Salt Lake City family fun. Here are a few ideas for activities kids and parents can enjoy together:
- Sledding - Mountain Dell Golf Course up Parley's Canyon is a good option, or you can try one of the two lift-assisted sledding parks in the Park City area: Gorgoza and Soldier Hollow. Mountain Dell is free but requires a lot of climbing. Gorgoza and Soldier Hollow are $11-$30 per person, depending on age and how many hours you spend on the hill. Tubes are included. Call for conditions before you go.
- Salt Lake area ski resorts have gotten some fresh snow in the past few days, so it's a great time to visit your favorite. It's not necessary to pay full price for a lift ticket; there are plenty of ways to find discounts.
- The holiday weekend is a great time to visit The Natural History Museum of Utah and The Leonardo, two of SLC's newest indoor museums. Both are included in the Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass.
