The lineup of films has been announced for the second annual Tumbleweeds Film Festival for kids 4-14, presented by the Utah Film Center. The festival presents a unique opportunity for kids to see unconventional films, including foreign films, that showcase the spirit of creativity and bridge cultural differences. Almost 3000 people attended the inaugural festival last year.
This year's lineup includes 11 feature films and 14 short films films from seven countries, in five languages. Many films will be screened in their original languages, with a narrator reading subtitles for young audience members. In addition to the 18 film presentations, the festival includes four film related workshops presented by Spy Hop Productions. Screenings and workshops will be held March 23-25 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Spy Hop Productions and The City Library. Tickets for film screenings are $6, and workshops are $30 including service charges.
