
1. Gardening Classes at Conservation Garden Park
Gardening classes at the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District's Conservation Garden Park teach water-wise gardening and landscaping techniques, specifically for Utah. July classes include "Best Kept Secrets of Lawn Care" July 12, "How to Build a Complete Irrigation System" July 14 and "Creating Curb Appeal" July 17.

Free film screenings sponsored by the Utah Film Center this week include The Man Nobody Knew July 12 at the Rose Wagner, The Andromeda Strain July 16 at the Gallivan Center, and Boys of Bonneville July 18 at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
Free summer concerts this week include the Utah Symphony and Opera July 12 at the Gallivan Center, Crazy Coyote July 12 at The Gateway, SunShade 'n' Rain July 13 at Brigham Young Historic Park, Tinsley Ellis July 14 at Snowbird, Fox Street All Stars July 14 at The Canyons, "Evening in Brazil" July 16 at the Chase Home Museum, New Hot 5 July 17 at Brigham Young Historic Park, and Swagger July 18 at Deer Valley.
Every Friday night around 9 p.m., communities across the Wasatch Front sponsor free outdoor screenings of family movies. Shows for Friday, July 13 include The Muppets Take Manhattan at Wasatch Hollow, The Princess Bride at the Utah State Capitol (free concert before the movie at 7:30), The Sandlot at Snowbird, and Happy Feet 2 at Mill Hollow Park in Cottonwood Heights (inflatable rides for children at 7 p.m.).
