I definitely eat more cheeseburgers in the summer than any other time of year, so I'm intrigued by these upcoming SLC dining events focusing on cheeseburgers and all things cheesy:
- The Tillamook Love Loaf Tour rolls through Utah with their unique mini-buses appearing at grocery stores throughout July, and two of SLC's favorite restaurants will be serving special burgers featuring Tillamook cheese July 21-28. Squatters Pub Brewery in both Salt Lake City and Park City will be serving the "Tillamook Jacked-Up Burger" made with Niman Ranch® all-natural 100% ground chuck topped with Tillamook Pepper Jack Cheese, roasted green chilies, fresh cut avocado, and house made chipotle aioli served on Squatters' ale-infused spent grain bun with choice of fries or salad for $10. Wild Grape Bistro will be serving the "Tillamook Triple Cheese Burger," a sustainable beef burger with Tillamook Sharp Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Pepper Jack Cheese, along with spinach, tomato, and artisan bread, served with house-cut fries for $11.
- Local cheese maker Cache Valley Cheese's "Melt Mobile Tour" will be making stops throughout Utah this month, including a stop at the Salt Lake Bees game Saturday, July 21. The Melt Mobile will serve up samples of grilled cheese sandwiches and give out information on Cache Valley Cheese's fight against hunger in Utah.
- Bambara SLC is offering a free order of its "wicked good" homemade blue cheese potato chips per table to diners showing tickets for Wicked at the Capitol Theater, July 18-31.
