It's going to be a gorgeous weekend in Salt Lake City, with lots of good weather for your weekend activities:
- The University of Utah Utes face Brigham Young University in the latest installment of their century-old in-state rivalry. The game starts Saturday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. at Rice-Eccles Stadium and will be available on ESPN2.
- Friday night before the game, fans can join the Ute cheerleaders, dance team and marching band for UNight, a parade and pep rally at The Gateway shopping center Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Cheer on the Utes and pick up free balloons, posters and face decals.
- The University of Utah campus is also the setting for the opening weekend of Pioneer Memorial Theatre's new season, with the regional premiere of In the Heights, the 2008 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. I saw In the Heights in New York a few years back, and I'm looking forward to PMT's production. The show runs Sept. 14-29.
