Museum lovers nationwide have a chance to check out a new museum or revisit and old favorite for free this Saturday, Sept. 29. Museum Day Live! is an event sponsored by Smithsonian magazine that gives patrons up to two free admissions to more than 1400 of the country's favorite museums. In Utah, Museum Day Live! free admission is available for the following museums:
- Benson Grist Mill, Stansbury Park
- Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, Cedar City
- Brigham Young University Museum of Art, Provo
- Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Art, Salt Lake City
- Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, Salt Lake City
- Eccles Community Art Center, Ogden
- Fort Douglas Museum, Fort Douglas
- Kearns Museum, Kearns
- Little Hollywood Movie Museum, Kanab
- Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Relic Home and Blacksmith Shop, Mt. Pleasant
- Utah Museum of Natural History, Salt Lake City
Museum Day passes are available for the Museum Day Live! website. Each ticket is good for two people, and there is a limit of one ticket per valid email address.
