Salt Lake City will celebrate Independence Day in a big way with festivities throughout the Salt Lake area. Here's a list of more than 20 SLC 4th of July events.

Saturday, July 2, 2011

Parade starts at 9 a.m., route goes from 2280 S. 300 E. to Fitts Community Park

Festival and fireworks at Granite High School, 3305 S. 500 E.

Brad Paisley and David Archuleta perform for this year's Stadium of Fire, Utah's most spectacular fireworks show and patriotic musical celebration, held at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo.

Provo's 4th of July festivities also include a parade and other community events July 1, 2 and 4.

Stadium of Fire Saturday, July 2 8 p.m.

Freedom Festival Parade Monday, July 4, 9 a.m. (Bleacher seats available for $7.)

Community events free, Stadium of Fire $30-$120.

Rocky Mountain Raceway's July 2 race night will include USAC Western States Sprints & Focus Midgets, Super Stocks, Figure-8 Cars and Western States Equipment Figure-8 Trains. Fireworks after the races at about 10 p.m.

July 3rd at The Canyons

Are you ready to start your Independence Day one day early? If so, then head to Canyons for live music by The Soulistics, followed by a huge fireworks display. The concert will start at 7:30pm in the Resort Village with the fireworks at 9:30pm.

The Sugar House Park fireworks, Salt Lake's most popular fireworks, have been saved from budget cuts once again this year, thanks to a last-minute vote by the Salt Lake City Council and a $25,000 gift by R.C. Willey.

BULA One Love Celebration at Liberty Park

The BULA One Love Celebration is presented by Bula Beverage, a Salt Lake-based company that is the brainchild of Sione Po'uha, a one-time Ute football player currently a defensive tackle for the New York Jets.

The celebration will be headlined by the legendary roots reggae band The Wailers, founded by the late-Bob Marley. The musical lineup also includes world music acts Gramps Morgan, Sons of Manasseh, and local favorites Cubworld and Rebel Zion.
