The Grand Theatre: 'A Diva Holiday', Eclipse, 'I Believe in Christmas'

Salt Lake Community College's Grand Theatre celebrates the holidays with three special musical events:

  • "A Diva Holiday" - A holiday musical performance featuring Erica Hansen, Detorea Oliver, MacKenzie Seiler, Erica Walters, and Alicia Washington. Dec. 6-10, 7:30 p.m. ($10-$24)
  • Eclipse - An a capella group creates explosive sound, driving rhythms, and lush harmonies like you've never heard before. Dec. 13-15, 7:30 p.m. ($7-$17)
  • "I Believe in Christmas" - Pickleville Playhouse is coming to Salt Lake for the 2012 holiday season! From the imagination T.J. Davis, creator of the "Bandito" series, comes a hilarious and heartwarming new musical for the 2012 holiday season. Dec. 18-19, 7:30 p.m. ($18-$22)

This is the Place Heritage Park

Stroll through a pioneer village decorated like a Currier & Ives card, enjoy a visit with Father Christmas, see live reindeer, witness a live Nativity scene, listen to the Heritage Village Carolers, make crafts and homemade decorations, and shop for unique gifts.

Dec. 7-29, 2012, excluding Sundays, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
6-9 p.m.

Adults $10, children 3-11 $7, seniors 55+ $7

Dickens Christmas Festival

The Dickens Festival is an arts and crafts fair in the recreated atmosphere of Old London. Shop for unique gifts while enjoying carols, entertainers, mini-productions of "Scrooge" and "Oliver Twist," and a visit with Father Christmas.

Salt Lake Men's Choir: "We Wish You Christmas"

Salt Lake Men's Choir

Join the Salt Lake Men’s Choir for this and many other wonderful sounds of the holiday season. We’ll once again fill the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with the unique and inspiring sound of the SLMC. And no matter how cold it is outside, you’ll leave with a smile on your face, a song in your heart, and warmth in your soul.

'A Christmas Carol' at Hale Centre Theatre

Live Nativity at Liberty Park

"Echoes of Christmas" is a free community music and theater event presenting the story of the first Christmas. The audience walks from scene to scene as actors and singers - along with live sheep, goats, a camel and a donkey - present portions of the Christmas story.

The show runs continually from 7 to 9 p.m., with new scenes starting approximately every five minutes. Walking through all six scenes takes about 40 minutes.
