Red Rock has been in operation for 15 years and has long been a favorite with my family, especially before or after a Utes or Jazz game. The menu includes wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, salads, seafood, chicken, steak and pasta. It's an excellent place to go with a group because of the large, crowd-pleasing menu.
Two of Red Rock's best appetizers are the enormous beer-battered onion rings and the unique bruschetta with fresh basil, warm walnut-crusted goat cheese, slow roasted tomatoes and a whole bulb of roasted garlic. The sandwiches are generally tasty, especially the meatball and Italian sausage grinders, the grilled Rueben, the grilled vegetable sandwich, and the daily special fish sandwich. Most of the sandwiches are served in a pocket bread cooked in the same wood-fired oven as the pizza.
Other menu standouts at Red Rock include the New York steak salad, wild mushroom polenta, and almond crusted red trout. The pizzas are also good, especially the sausage pizza featuring house made Italian sausage.
Red Rock serves between eight and ten original craft brewed beers, with offerings changing seasonally. Their most popular beers are the Amber Ale and Hefeweizen, and the most award winning beer is the Nut Brown Ale. Red Rock also serves homemade root beer and cream soda.
