Art Exhibits and Events

See Morrison's handmade models depicting famous European sculptures and architecture.

Face of Utah Sculpture Exhibit
Well-known and emerging Utah sculptors exhibit both traditional and contemporary sculpture. See sculptor Tim Little's, Childhood Fantasy - an interactive, large scale piece depicting a winged fairy riding a stick-bug with honking noise makers and levers that produce streams of water. Also see the Wild Life of Dollores Shelledy - an outdoor sculpture exhibit of life-size zoo animals displayed outdoors on the Cultural Center Plaza.

Festivals

- Utah Shakespearean Festival
Times and prices vary.
This festival draws nearly 150,000 people to Cedar City, Utah to view the Bard's work.
August 16th:
Ferragosto Italian Cultural Street Festival
On 300 South and 450 West, next to Pioneer Park
10 a.m - 10 p.m.
Free.
Italian food and craft fair with a Colosimo's sausage eating contest. Italian car and scooter show, Italian films, Italian beer and wines and Italian karaoke.

Held at a different Salt Lake City park every Friday night. See the website for listings. Free popcorn. Pizza and drinks for sale. Free. - Salt Lake City Film Center
Friday night film series to bring community together through film.
Pioneer Park
Shown Friday nights from 9-11 p.m.

Reins 'N Trains
Tuesday - Thursday, departure at 10 a.m., returns at 1 p.m.
Tickets include train ride to Soldier Hollow, horseback riding, lunch and snacks. Only adults and children eight and above allowed.
Now through August 23rd:
Raft n' Rails
Tuesday - Saturdays
Departures - Returns: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Raft class I and II rapids on the Provo River. Take the train to Heber, raft down Provo Canyon and return on the train. Tickets include train ticket, life vests and guided rafting. Food and drinks are available on the train.
August 1st, August 15th and September 12th:
Heber Valley Hoedown
From 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Learn the Virginia Reel square dance at a western hoedown and a home-style barbeque.
August 9th, August 23rd and September 6th:
Hay Train
From 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Tickets include a country picnic, a horse-drawn wagon ride and cowboy poetry.Ride an ol' west train while enjoying a country picnic and homemade cobbler. Stop for a horse-drawn wagon ride, experience blacksmithing and cowboy poetry.
August 8th, 22nd, 29th and September 5th, 20th:
Sunset BBQ Special
From 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Ride along Deer Creek with live music and an outdoor barbeque.
August 2nd, 16th, 30th and September 13th, 27th and November 8th:
Comedy Murder Mystery
From 6:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
The Chameleons Whodunit Company takes guests along on a murder mystery ride. Guests hear the story line, quiz the actors, look for clues and guess 'whodunit.' Prizes awarded to detectives who correctly identify whodunit.

Get $2 off a child's admission ticket at Hogle Zoo by bringing a teddy bear to the bear grotto. Watch black bears play with enrichment items, enjoy a special kid's meal with a bear cup at the Bear Grotto, get a teddy bear check-up with a zoo veterinary staff, watch
the teddy bear puppet show, and enjoy the music of Doc Young's Family Band
as they play songs from their new CD "Train at the Zoo."
