May Events – Special Events For Mom
Plan a day with Mom on Saturday or Sunday, or take a look at the entire May events calendar to give her a special night out on the town this month.
- Macy's Mom and Me
On May 10 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, Macy's is selling special 'Macy's Mom and Me' shirts for $7.00. Pick up your t-shirt and then head to for free admission. Those wearing the 'Mom and Me' shirt get free massages, face painting, crafts and ice cream.
- Salt Lake Library Make 'N Takes
May 9th and 10th at Salt Lake City libraries, you can come and make Mom a special make 'n take to give her on Sunday morning. Stop by any library during normal business hours.
- Hogle Zoo Mother's Day Brunch
On May 11th, take Mom for a walk on the wild side at and eat a buffet brunch with the animals. Mom gets a Mother's Day flower, a photo with the family and the kids make her a craft. Tickets are on sale now.
- Mother's Day Tea Party
Dress up at Gardner Village with Mom and Grandma for an old-fashioned tea service. Protea Cottage is ready to serve up a dose of etiquette with that Earl Grey. Make reservations and book your table with a credit card.
- Mother's Day 5 Mile River Run
Take a run along the South Jordan Parkway with other fit moms or participate in the kid's only run to show Mom just what you can do. Only 300 participants are allowed so register early for this fun 5k.
- Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
This year, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be at the Gateway starting at 7 a.m. Go pink for your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt or other special woman in your life who has struggled with breast cancer. All funds go to the Susan G. Komen foundation, which supports breast cancer research. Pink merchandise will be available for purchase including the new Garth Brooks pink CD.
