Gardening in Utah's dry, four-season climate can be a challenge, but fortunately there are lots of places where you can educate yourself with gardening classes, many of them free.

The Utah State University Botanical Center in Kaysville is home to beautiful demonstration gardens. They also offer a popular landscape design class and classes on a variety of other garden topics.

Utah State University
The USU Extension Master Gardener volunteer training course is held at the beginning of each year, once a week from late January/early February to early May (the 2014 schedule & location(s) have not yet been finalized), amounting to 40 hours of college-level classroom instruction taught by Utah State University Extension specialists. USU Extension Master Gardeners volunteer at several projects throughout Salt Lake County.
