Rice-Eccles Stadium, home of University of Utah Football, is the largest sports facility in the Salt Lake area and seats up to 47,000 fans. Rice-Eccles underwent a major renovation in 1997-98 in preparation for the opening and closing ceremonies of the the 2002 Winter Olympics. In addition to football, the stadium hosts major concert tours such as U2 and the Rolling Stones, and sporting events such as motocross. Event facilities in the stadium's west tower can be rented for weddings and other large parties.

Public Transportation
There is a UTA TRAX station in the stadium's west parking lot. Buses are also available.
Parking
Varies by event - see University of Utah Parking Maps for details. Parking for the ticket office and Olympic Cauldron Park on non-event days is immediately west of the stadium.
Food and Drink
A variety of food and drink is available during football games, including stadium foods like hot dogs, popcorn and soda, plus booths provided by local restaurants in the south end zone. Favorites include Maui Burgers (excellent fresh-cut french fries), Cowboy Corn Dogs, Maui Wowie smoothies, Colosimo's Sausage, Mexican food, Greek food, barbecue and more. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in Rice-Eccles Stadium, but are permitted in tailgating parking lots.
