From the article: Stay Safe While Sledding
Sledding is an inexpensive, easy way to get outdoors for family fun and exercise in the winter. Parks and schools with hills are popular for sledding, and some of the best sledding areas are hidden in neighborhoods throughout the Salt Lake area. Where do you and your family like to go sledding? Sugar House Park

Sugar House Park is a great place for sledding, with different size hills depending on what you want.

Mountain Dell Golf Course

I like Mountain Dell Golf Course up Parley's Canyon near the East Canyon reservoir. The hills are steep enough to be fun, and it's at a higher altitude so it's more likely to have good snow.

Gorgoza if you want to spend the money

Gorgoza Park up Parley's Canyon offers lift assisted tubing. It's a ton of fun as long as the snow is not too soft. The cost is $8-$33 depending on how old you are and how long you want to slide.
